These are questions that have emerged over the semester; most came from the workshop evaluations:
QUESTION(s)
ANSWER(s)
more time to try things/longer session
It would be fun to have more time
Love the one hour, but I need more -- maybe a lab session where we just build/work on whatever we wish, but have you two there whenever we need to cry "Help!"
I just need time to practice . .
CGCC PARTICIPANTS: This was such a common theme throughout the semester that Linda & I have put in a request for B123A for EACH & EVERY Tuesday of the Spring '09 semester -- when there is not a Workshop, we will hold "Open Lab" sessions in the 3:00-4:00 time slot for those who want to come and play. Linda will also try to answer any Blackboard questions you might have during these Open Lab sessions.
Maybe some of the handouts could be made available before hand, so we come in more prepared
Handouts are always available at that Sessions List wiki page in marymac -- typically all of these are up and ready 1-2 days prior to the workshop, so feel free to take a sneak peek!
want to know more about using & making videos

Everything "tech" -- want to learn more!
Other cheap or free programs like SnagIt?
Continue your series!
I just need to keep coming
Show me more things.
Spring 2009 will be chock full of new and exciting Web 2.0 tools for you -- we have no intention of stopping now!
Making my own video - I have a flip camera coming soon!
How do I snatch a bit of a movie, encapsulate it, and use it at will?
Learning what is the best/suggested file format to use when converting online videos to archived video.
Any way to get photos directly from Flickr onto my wiki?
Any way to send photos directly from Flickr to Pixenate?
How accessible are the files for students -- will they need software, updates, etc?
1. Just come to the Session #11 in February 2009 . . .
2. As far as we know, this requires more expensive and more complex software -- if you want some programs, we can give you some ideas. Otherwise, we are always on the lookout for cheap and easy, so we'll keep you posted.
3. We have one of our experts working on this -- when we get the information, we will provide a handout for all of you.
4. Not yet, but PBwiki is constantly adding features; hopefully they'll add "upload from Flickr" to their plugins one of these days.
5. No; but since you have to go to Pixenate's site anyway, you can import directly from Flickr when browsing for an image.
6. File accessibility varies; we will get a reference sheet together for the different file types and what might be needed to access them. Look for this Spring 2009.
EVEN MORE RESOURCES . . . feel free to peruse this list of past workshops, including instructions on how to use the tools ("missing" sessions are those that were later replaced with significantly revised versions, or were for tools that no longer exist):
