MARICOPA MILLIONS

(Much of the content on today's workshop page came from the Maricopa Millions Canvas Page)

FAQs:

  • "How will OER courses be defined for students?"

    • "No cost" for materials ($0)
    • "Low cost" for materials (<$40)
  • "How will the courses be developed?"
    • Recruiting faculty developers - proposals
    • Ideally, teams of 3 (three different colleges)
    • Small stipend
    • Training and support, peer review

Spring 2015 Grant Cycle has just opened:

In the past, 3 to 5 proposals (out of 8 or 9 proposals) have been funded. As the OER movement gains traction, the grants are likely to become more competitive. Here are some things to keep in mind for this year:

  • "What if I already have materials, and just want to share?"
    • No repository area available yet, but exploring possible options

In the 2013-2014 academic year, there were two calls for proposals for courses.  Information about the five courses selected for development is below.

What does Domo eat?

Domo eats any of Mary's baked goods,

and he also eats faculty members who don't give their feedback about the Technology Tuesdays series! ;-)
