FIND THE IMAGE THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU:

An easy way to start locating copyright-free media is to search Creative Commons licensed material on Flickr. There are literally millions of images, even with the least restrictive "Attribution" license. Here is a brief explanation of the CC-license types, from creativecommons.org:

As you can see from the image below, a Flickr account isn't necessary to access the CC-licensed images. However, it is very handy to have an account in order to bookmark the images that you really like.

Now that you know where to look, it's time to find an image that you like, save the image(s) to your desktop or to a flash drive, and we'll move on to photo editing.

EASY PHOTO EDITING USING FOTOFLEXER:

Fotoflexer is a free, extremely easy-to-use online photo editor. In addition to the "free and easy" part, fotoflexr allows you to easily retrieve photos for editing from a variety of sources:

  • your computer
  • your flickr account
  • your facebook account
  • your myspace account
  • your photobucket account
  • the web, if you have the URL for the photo
  • many other social networking/social media sites!
