SESSION 3: FINDING VIDEO FOR TEACHING

    • Difficult to hear videos without headsets
    • Maybe come to the session with a video ready? But I did like seeing new places to find video that I didn't know about before.
    • Everyone talking made it difficult . . . you both handled it well! . . . faculty are not always easy to teach!
    • Recipe cards should be made available ;-)
    • How to integrate YouTube into a PowerPoint presentation?
    • Making my own video - I have a flip camera coming soon!
    • How do I snatch a bit of a movie, encapsulate it, and use it at will?
    • Love the one hour, but I need more -- maybe a lab session where we just build/work on whatever we wish, but have you two there whenever we need to cry "Help!"
    • Show me more things.
    • Learning what is the best/suggested file format to use when converting online videos to archived video.

    • I am unclear with respect to copyright rules
    • The pace of the Technology Tuesdays is wonderful.  I have been to all so far and have gained many skills.
    • Any way to get photos directly from Flickr onto my wiki?
    • Any way to send photos directly from Flickr to Pixenate?
    • I'd like to practice at home and find out what problems I'm having before answering this.

    • I am interested in testing the PC sound recording wave file or cell phone GCast file in Movie Maker using the PC. It can be uploaded, but I need to see how it plays over the movie. Has anyone tried it?

    • What format is it when a Garageband audio is recorded???? Is it compatible with importing into pbwiki???

    • Maybe more examples and/or a chance to discuss with others how it could be used.
    • Helping me figure out how to use them in the Library!
    • I need time to think about the applications more and possibly can do a summer project with them.
    • Homework!! All of the wonderful ideas are stacked on my desk.
    • Google Apps and how some of them might be used?
    • I just need to find the time to put all of this together enough to know what questions to ask. :-(
    • Can Timetoast Timelines be embedded into powerpoints?
    • Just need practice!
    • Need to work on the embedding of images and recorded items. These are very helpful tools.
    • Please do this all over again!

    • Each participant is at a different point on the 'learning curve.'  I think you did a good job of meeting us at multiple different points. 
    • Teach me more technology applications! 
    • How does the Bb blog articulate with the blog you demostrated tonight? Can it handle mobile uploads? 
    • Need to practice the concepts. 
    • Wish Technology Tuesdays were offered at alternative times

    • I'm interested in how to use a photo blog for mathematics.

    • More on using it for class.  Any helpful tips or best practices regarding blogs for class
    • just an idea...maybe have a share session on how people did use this tool or which ones they read and why
    • I will do a bit of research on how blogs are used in my content discipline and see whether this gives me any ideas.
    • I think it is just that I need more time.
    • I just need to play with it a little and discuss with some colleagues to generate some ideas.
    • Use in math classroom?
    • embedding YouTube videos directly into blogger, like you can with pbwiki.
    • the only thing I could think of is more time, which is solved by the free time next Tuesday.
    • How does the RSS feed work on the users end?  Does the subscriber need to have the RSS window open all the time? Is it worth while if I am only going to post once a week, etc.
    • A follow up session, maybe next tuesday, answering specific questions and challenges about the material given today
    • How do you get headline creepers to your email account???if it is even possible????
    •  I want more! :)

    • Just the files/audio and video that are compatible with Windows Media Maker
    • I just need more time and practice to assimilate this.
    • Benefits of one hosting site (YouTube, Google Video, Vimeo) over another.
    • Maybe Second Life.  I ventured into Second Life (my alma mater Univ of Mich supposedly has a world) but I couldn't figure out how to get to the specific world.  I created an identity - but I don't know what I'm doing....
    • My video on YouTube seems to be in an odd format, allowing me to 'annotate' it.  I think it's in .wmv format.  Is that right?  I'm not sure the link will work since I made my video 'private.'
    • I think I'll need to have a re-do on the movie making! :-)

    • I still need to figure out how to use these tools in my classes.
    • I just need more time in my life to play with these great tools.
    • What does Domo eat?
    • I'd like to learn more about the Adobe text tools.
    • I would like to explore more fully developing a course wiki.

    • It would've been great to spend more time working on each thing more.
    • Perhaps just a fyi before we enroll for a new tool about what kind of name we might want to use/not use and why
    • More functionality with DimDim
    • I would like for all of my students to work on same Excel file.
    • Still wrapping my brain around the most effective ways to use the super cool new tools.
    • Need to set up facebook...don't know how
    • I would like to continue learning more about new features.
    • Second life -- I just don't really get it. It sounds like just another video game, so I don't quite understand why or how it would be useful, other than for fun.
